Youth Group Weekends
Camp Shamineau offers two programmed youth group events, Fall Fling and Winter Wipe Out.  Each event is designed to facilitate the growth of relationships within your youth group and to help each camper in their walk with the Lord.  We host four Fall Fling weekends in October (designed as growth level events), and three Winter Wipe Out weekends in January (designed as outreach level events).  Camp Shamineau provides the programming, activities, and meals so youth leaders can spend all their time with the kids.

Summer Camp
During summer camp, students will be involved in many activities, games, cabin times and Bible times.  The structure of camp is designed to remove campers from the distractions of everyday life and place them in an environment where they can experience the power of the Holy Spirit and return home changed people ready to face life with a new outlook.  Throughout each camper's time at Shamineau, they will be encouraged and mentored by their cabin counselors as well as the support staff. 

Summer Staff
We rely on high school and college students to run our summer ministries.  These students are trained in evangelism, discipleship and leadership methods, and are given many opportunities to lead groups and share their faith in Christ with others.  It is our desire that they become a greater benefit to you, their church and community after a summer of leadership training and experience.

We strive for a 5 to 1 staff to camper ratio in each cabin.  To qualify for a staff position, each staff member must successfully complete an in-depth process.  First, an application must be completed, including answering questions about childcare experience, certifications, and spiritual maturity.  Three references from adults who can comment on their character are also required.  Second, each applicant must interview for their position--in person whenever possible, or over the phone.  Last, if an applicant is chosen, each must attend our week-long staff training where they will be trained and equipped for a summer of service. 

Family Camps/Parent & Child Retreats
Shamineau strives to provide families with fun recreational opportunities centered on God’s Word.  We hope that this stimulates growth in their relationships with the Lord and with each other to strengthen the family unit and the family of God.
